Lagos West monarchs pledge support for Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu

Hundreds of traditional chiefs in Lagos West have pledged their communities’ support for APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the party’s candidates.

The pledge was made during a meeting in Akesan, Alimosho Local Government.

According to them, it was critical that traditional chiefs contribute to the election’s success by encouraging residents to carry out their civic responsibilities.

The Chairman of the Council of Chiefs in Lagos West and Baale of Ijon, on the other hand, urged the state to provide basic amenities in their domain.

He mentioned good welfare, infrastructure, salary increases, elevating their status, seminars, and baale recognition.

Senior Special Adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Robert Bibire, assured the chiefs Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu will serve the interest of the traditional institution, if elected.

Bibire maintained that Tinubu is passionate about Nigeria’s development, adding Sanwo-Olu and his exco would continue to care for the state.

He promised to look into the chief’s complaints, especially in the area of elevating them, saying the government had done a lot in the development of the institution.
