INEC Begins Distribution of PVC

The distribution of the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to Nigerians has started today, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC’s Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye, made this announcement over the weekend.

He stated that every day, including Saturdays and Sundays, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., people can pick up their PVCs.

According to Okoye, the commission has authorized the collection of the PVC in 8,809 registration areas/wards nationwide in order to make it easier to reach the electorate.

The INEC commissioner also stated that from January 6 to January 15, 2023, the commission will delegate the PVC collection to the 8,809 registration areas/wards.

“After January 15, 2023, the exercise will revert to the local government offices of the commission until January 22, 2023.

“Those who are unable to collect their PVCs at the local government offices of the commission can do so at the registration areas/electoral wards,” he added.
