“Create Ibadan State when you become President”—Olubadan to Peter Obi

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Lekan Balogun, has proposed the creation of Ibadan State to the presidential candidate of the Labor Party (LP), Peter Obi, in the hope he wins the 2023 election.

Oba Balogun made this proposal on Saturday while hosting the party and its presidential candidate at his Alarere home.

Speaking via Otun Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola, Olubadan praised Peter Obi’s presentation on the numerous issues the nation is now facing and how he plans to address them to create a new Nigeria that its people can be proud of. Olubadan also agreed with the evaluation the LP presidential candidate gave Ibadan.

He added: “Olubadan is the father of all and considers you all to be his offspring, as might be anticipated. He is an open-hearted king who has traveled much. He has no ill will toward anyone, for whatever reason. We are glad to meet you, and your presentation demonstrated your deep grasp of what you set out to do. We can only pray to God to grant you your heart’s wishes and the capacity to carry out your plan for a more successful and better-off Nigeria to the letter.”

He then counseled the LP presidential candidate to be focused and devoted to his programmes.
