Governance is all about continuity.” —Rt. Hon. Igwesi

The director general of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) support groups in Enugu State, Rt. Hon. U.S.A. Igwesi, has reiterated the importance of continuity in governance.

He made this statement at a meeting with the director general of the support groups of the party on Thursday in Enugu.

He said that the governorship candidate of the party, Peter Mbah, has the ability to continue from where the sitting governor will stop.

“Peter Mbah has a solid personality and is competent to be our next governor. This is a man who has walked through the private sector, an entrepreneur who has handled his business from the grass roots to where it is today. We believe that if Peter Mbah is given the chance to be the next governor of Enugu State, he will deliver. He will create jobs and continue where the incumbent governor left off.

“Governance is all about continuity. Continue from where the previous administration stopped to the next, and Peter Mbah is that man who will do it very well for the people of Enugu State. He is a strong man, and I am convinced that he will do the best for the people of Enugu State,” he stated.

Adding that “the worst sin against humanity is self-deception,” he urged the support groups to be active because the success of the party largely depends on them.

On his part, the convener of the Oda Opuo support group, Rt. Hon. Stanley Obinna Ngwu, said that efforts are in top gear to ensure the party wins the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Dignitaries in attendance were the Enugu East deputy DG, Dr. Emeka Nwatu; the Enugu West deputy DG, Chief Ben Alukwu; the Enugu North deputy DG, Hon. Festus; and the secretary general, Chief Mrs. Amaka Anajemba.
